Tracing the Leen

Nottingham City Council along with the British Waterways, are proposing to 'join the dots' with a cycle path along the River Leen.

This waterway is a tributary of the River Trent, which it joins near Wilford, Notts. Its course through Nottingham is by turns

We have created some printable maps showing four of our best

routes- you can download them here (PDF 15mb). They print best

in colour, at A3 size.

 

Via Wilford and Barton Fabis to Sawley

A loop ride along north and south banks of the Trent, around

30 miles

Sneinton-West Bridgford-Ruddington-Wilford Loop

A ride out along the Old Road to Ruddington, back along the

Trent, around 12 miles

Sneinton- Wollaton Hall- Beeston Loop

About 15 miles, with plenty of riverside paths. Optional extra

5 miles to take in Attenborough Nature Reserve

Langley Loop

A circular bike ride taking in several green pockets in the city,

a number of suburban areas, some great countryside views.
