1. Sneinton to Cropwell Bishop, along the Grantham Canal. Back via Radcliffe-on-Trent (approx 17 miles):

2. Sneinton- Wollaton Hall - Beeston Lock loop. Approx 15 miles of easy cycling and plenty of riverside action, with an optional 5 mile extra to take in Attenborough Nature reserve.

3. Lambley Loop. Approx 16 miles of city greenspace, suburbia and country views. Somewhat hilly. NB map includes historically accurate but unnecessary detour in Lambley

4. Ruddington Loop. Approx 11.5 miles of quiet roads and cycle paths to the multi-pubbed village of Ruddington and back, taking in the fantastic Old Road, a steep but manageable track over the hill. One awkward road crossing of dual carriageway.

5. Sawley Marina Loop. Approx 30 miles of quiet roads and cycle paths/bridleways. Some stretches of paths which might be muddy in wet weather- MTB or hybrid bikes recommended.
